However, impression rates still indicate interest: if someone views your content and doesn’t watch it all the way through, that is still an indication that they may be interested in your content!

These rates on YouTube are important because they indicate the interest level in your content–the more people who view your videos (and stay engaged), the more likely it is that these viewers will become subscribers who engage with future videos as well as products associated with them (if applicable).

Impressions Are Mainly The Number Of YouTube Video Views

If you have 1,000 views and 50 people watched your video for more than 30 seconds (which YouTube considers an engagement), then you would have 500 impression rates but only 400 unique views because each person could have watched multiple times during their visit.

YouTube impression rates are only counted when a video is watched for more than 30 seconds. This is to prevent people from gaming the system, but it also ensures that you’re not wasting time and effort on videos that people don’t care about.

For example, if someone clicks on your video link and then immediately exits it, then no impression rates will be recorded for that particular click-through.
